<p>The key to designing a high quality and fully functional system is in the balance between sound and performance. Turbo chargers perform best with virtually zero restriction off of the exhaust outlet, but that&#8217;s a recipe for noise that would be unbearable for a street prepared vehicle. Our job is to find the right combination of performance enhancing low restriction exhaust flow, while creating a &#8220;<em>voice</em>&#8221; that you enjoy hearing, all while preventing side effects such as the unpleasant drone at cruising speeds.</p>

<p>What you may not have known, all Agency Power intercoolers are application specific, with significant on-road and dynamometer testing to ensure optimum performance for each vehicle model.The selection of the core is important in two aspects: One is to select a dimension that will allow for maximum surface area and cooling via ambient airflow to the intercooler. The second is to optimize the internal flow area to ensure minimal loss in boost pressure while still allowing for the desired CFM. After the engineering and testing ensures the proper core sizing, it&#8217;s on to the design of end tanks, and fabrication  and selection of all necessary bracketry, piping and silicone.</p>

After his install he had a chance to take it up to speed on the highway and even &#8220;<em>had to put a 335i and STi in their place</em>&#8220;.</p>
<p>I have a feeling though, that the 335i and STi may have only had a quick glimpse of this Agency Power front lip in their rear view mirror as  this 2002 996TT made his way past them.</p>

<p>Remove shift knob as pictured.  Some models require leather shift boot be lifted up and shifter collar be turned 90 degrees clockwise to release(see below)</p>

<p>Remove leather shift boot after knob removal</p>

<p>Remove side vents to access front console screws that need to be removed.</p>

<p>Remove center console mounting screws as shown.</p>

<p>Remove parts attached to console as shown to allow console to be removed later in this process.</p>

<p>Remove rear console mounting screws located underneath rubber mat.</p>

<p>Remove ash tray and mounting screws beneath it.  Make sure to disconnect any electrical connections so console can be lifted out freely.</p>

<p>Make sure all electrical connections are safely disconnected to allow console to be removed.</p>

<p>Before disconnecting shift linkages from shift console, mark thread locations for easier adjustment upon reassembly later.</p>

<p>Remove bolts holding shift console down and remove shift cables from unit so it can be lifted out freely.</p>

<p>Once console and shift mechanism is out of vehicle, remove plastic collars to remove shift lever from mount.  Disconnect any linkages from lever during this time as well.</p>

<p>Install new lever into shift mechanism, re attach all linkages, shift cables, and make sure cables are adjusted so that lever goes into all gears freely with no issues.  Reinstall console and all electrical connections in reverse order of removal after shifter operation has been verified.</p>
