Audi DSG Paddle Shifters Installation

Vivid Racing has just completed an installation guide of the Agency Power BIG Paddle Shifters for your DSG transmission Audi vehicle.  The process is not that difficult however you need to be careful and take your time.  You will need a Torx wrench set and a small flat head screwdriver.

You can view the Agency Power BIG Paddle Shifters Here

Step 1 - You will want to remove the airbag to access the bolts to remove the paddles.  On the back side of the steering wheel, use your flat head screwdriver to pop these plastic covers off.  Then use your Torx Wrench to undo the airbag bolts.  DO NOT disconnect the airbag or you risk it going off.  Simply put on top of the steering wheel column as shown.

Step 2 - Next you will slide out both sides of the radio control buttons.  Behind these you will find the Torx bolt that will allow you to remove the factory paddle shifter.  Once you undo this bolt, take out the electric plug so you can remove the paddle completely from the wheel.

Step 3 - Now that the paddles are out of the car.  Use a flat head screwdriver and depress the tab inside of the electronic module side.  This will allow you to slide the pin out and remove the stock paddle.

Step 4 - Now you need to simply reinstall the electronic module on to the new Agency Power aluminum shifter.  Make sure you install the spring and put the pin all the way back in.

Step 5 - Now you will reinstall them on to your steering wheel.  Take the wire/plug and slide it through the steering wheel hole and then bolt it in place.  Connect the wire/plug to the control module and then tighten from the back.

Step 6 - Repeat the step for both sides and make sure paddles function.  Then place airbag back in center of the steering wheel.  Tighten bolts from the back side and replace plastic covers.  You are all done!  Contact Us if you need any assistance.
