The exhaust system is one of the first upgrades you should do to your vehicle. Agency Power manufactures complete exhaust systems for turbocharged, supercharged, and normally aspirated engines. A forced induction exhaust system is usually made up of a downpipe, midpipe, and muffler system. All cars have factory catalytic converters and when the exhaust bolts up to this part, it is referred to as the catback. Some catback systems are seperated into midpipes and mufflers. Mufflers can also be referred to as the main exhaust component on some rear engine vehicles such as Ferrari and Porsche. Other exhaust components include headers, y-pipes, race pipes, and uppipes. An uppipe is usually only found on the Subaru EJ20 or EJ25 engine located between the header and turbocharger. Y-pipes are found on vehicles that have 2 banks or dual exhausts. These y-pipes help merge the exhaust from 2 into 1 or vice versa. Some exhaust components are manufactured for competition race use only.
